December Update | Atlanta Family Lifestyle Photographer

Well it’s hard to believe this time of year has come and gone, but what a year it has been!  Again, I have been blessed with amazing clients – new and loyal – and it has been such a great journey.  This fall, I wrapped up all shooting by the first week of December so that my clients and I could focus on what the season is all about – family!  This was the first year in a decade that I have had nothing on my calendar over the holiday weeks and it has been so good for my soul.  I am so refreshed and excited for 2017.  I barely touched my camera this month, but I was able to pull a handful together to show what we’ve been up to this December.

Our neighborhood had it’s first annual holiday house decorating contest this year, so we spent some time analyzing our ever-evolving outdoor decor supplies and watched daddy climb our tiny front yard tree to light it up for the season…only to have them go out the week of Christmas 🙂  Oh, well!

We also took the kiddos to Snow Mountain to get some {fake} cold-weather fun in.  The girls loved tubing down the ice slides and sledding in the kiddie area.  Liam pretty much just loved being strolled around by Aunt Priscilla while we played with the girls…which subsequently put her into labor that night 😉  (You’re welcome?!)

We spent 4 days in Mexico with the whole family (which getting to was an adventure in and of itself) and had the best time.  I think our fishes could swim all day every day for. e. ver.

Liam was intrigued by the sand and then quickly deduced that he was NOT a fan whatsoever.  Ocean waves were also on his big list of hates, but he did love the baby pool.  Not the raining mushroom, though.  That thing was the devil.

We made it home just in time to drive straight to spend a few days with the other side of the family in Monroe (which was like a vacation gift that kept on giving in Cami’s eyes!)  It’s so fun watching all these little crazies play together.  They only see each other once every couple months but they never miss a beat.

We made it home by Christmas Eve to prepare for our very first Christmas morning in our own home.  It was simply magical.  These babies are the best gifts we have ever received and making memories with them is a close second.

Cheers to a wonderful year.  Thank you for supporting and being a part of my family’s journey.
