Savvy and Sisterly

Well, I’m back!  As many of you may know, YOU sent me to the workshop opportunity of a lifetime in Alys Beach – The Savvy Sisterhood Photography Workshop hosted by the fabulous Marsha Mason Mifsud of The Savvy Photographer Blog.  I really don’t even know where to start – how to describe how awesome it was for me, a newbie in the industry of photography as a business rather than just an incredible hobby.  I was surrounded by women with incredible talent, giving hearts, and hungry souls.  In a business that can feel competitive at times, I was humbled by the wealth of knowledge that the speakers shared with us – the do’s and don’ts, the encouragement, the step-by-step instructions on how to be a happy, savvy, successful individual in this business.  I am so thankful to have met and bonded with this incredible group of women for 4 rainy days in one of the most beautiful and luxurious places I have ever been.  Huge, gigantic, elephant-sized thanks goes to Marsha Mason Mifsud, Kara May, Laura Winslow, Beth Glisson, and Alice Park for the work they put into this workshop – their well thought-out presentations, their guided support, and sweet friendships.  I cannot wait for a reunion!  Truth be told, last weekend wasn’t long enough by a mile!

I am so excited to implement everything I took away from this experience – it may take me years to do so, because my brain simply can’t STOP!  I can’t stop thinking about ways to give you, my clients and friends, an incredible, unique, and enjoyable experience.  I can’t wait to have annual playdates, share tears of joy as we watch your newborn gallery unfold, shower you with gifts, and watch your families grow.  I am at the beginning of what looks to be an incredible journey and I thank each of you for investing in me and your own families to capture some of life’s most precious moments!

Now onto what we all know you come to see on a photographer’s blog – photos!  Is it safe to say that the Rosemary Beach area grows some pretty beautiful people? (Pretty beautiful: would that be considered a double positive??)  And oh yeah : these tween wardrobes put my closet to shame.  Off to buy some lace-up boots and glittery belts…
