Letters to Our Daughters, November | Atlanta Lifestyle Photographer

Well, my precious Cam, TWO whole months have flown by since the last time I sat down to write to you and like always, it doesn’t even seem possible.  There are some days that seemingly go on forever where I beg for 1 am just so I have an excuse to make myself rest my tired eyes, where other days it seems it was just minutes ago that I woke up to your “come get me!” cry.  There are simply not enough hours in the day for a stay-at-home-working-mom but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

A few weeks ago we were driving around running errands as a family and you said something from the backseat that made me say out loud, “Gosh, when did she learn all of this?!”  It’s sometimes as if overnight you learn new words or even just the correct way to say something you’ve been saying differently all along.  I told your daddy, we need to write these things down somewhere before we forget her “baby words.”  You now call Barley “Bah-lee” instead of “ba-wa”, your blanket is now your “bane-kee” instead of your “ben-da” and every kiss is followed by a “i lub you too.”  And when you grab our faces and say “a kiss” and proceed to kiss us all over our faces and say “awww” we wonder if every new parent is as lucky as we are.

These days, you are as girly as they come.  You have a shoe fetish (particularly your new collection of fall boots and glittery flats) and God forbid we don’t load you up with “pretties” before we start our day.  My “Stella & Dot” collection is quickly becoming your toy box, so we have added “Pretty Pretty Princess” to your Christmas list 🙂  You are really into your “hay-bows” and sometimes insist that we put two on the same side of your head.  You’ve even started to let me pull your hair back into a pony tail without a flailing meltdown…and sometimes you even ask me to!  Although, you still haven’t figured out that you can push your bangs aside, so sometimes you just shake your head until you can see to your liking.

Oh, I just love you more than words could express.  You are more beautiful to me every.single.day and you just get sweeter with time.  I’ve always known how much you love me, but it sure is AMAZING to hear it.  If only you knew how much that love was reciprocated.  I vow to tell you every single day, multiple times a day, until you do…and then some 🙂

Be sure to follow the blog circle around to read more of our “Letters to Our Daughters” and the images that go along with them.  Next up is Lori!
