Daily 365 Project | 1.6.15 – 1.8.15 | Atlanta Lifestyle Photographer

Has anyone else noticed that “resolutions” seem to be a thing of the past?  With the new year having just passsed, I have heard more and more people commenting on their dislike of resolutions and instead, are goal-driven for 2015.  I think that is awesome (!) and can totally get on board with that.  One of my goals this year is to keep this journal updated on a regular basis.  It won’t always be highlighted sessions – it might be shots of my daily life as an entrepreneur, mom, and “homemaker”…although I use that term very loosely, photography tips and tricks, guest posts from other creative friends of mine.  The possibilities are endless…although my ideas at this point in time most certainly ARE 😉  All that said, I do have a lot of catching up to do on introducing my wonderful followers to the most beautiful babies I photographed this fall, all the way into the week of Christmas.  Stay tuned for some precious newborn sessions and outdoor family sessions in the following week – until then, here’s another peak into the daily grind around my house.

1.6.15 | There’s really nothing more satisfying than a clean house on a Wednesday morning, a freshly made bed…and a gigantic beast to undo it all.

Yes, Barley, I’m talking to you.

And yes, Cam, I’m talking to you, too.

1.7.15 | In case any of my posted pictures have given you the idea that I have it all figured out and I am some sort of toddler whisperer…well, I’m here to inform you that you’re mistaken.  Here’s just a quick series of trying to get my sweet little girl to give me ONE smile at the camera before her first day back to school of her first full year of preschool.  “Just ONE,” I pleaded.  “STOP MOVING,” I begged.  “Gramma wants to see you in your pretty new dress!  Don’t you want Gramma to see how pretty you are?” I hinted.  It didn’t work.  (Sorry, mom.)  You know what did work?  Simon says.  Go figure!  (Makes mental note to pull that trick out of the bag again…but not too often that it loses it’s mystical powers…)

Simon Says did not go over well after I broke the news that “no,” she could not in fact watch the egg videos on my phone right now.  Disney Toy Collector, I have a serious love/hate relationship with you.atlanta lifestyle photographer, atlanta newborn photographer, atlanta baby photographer

It’s a good thing toddlers rebound quickly from such tragedies.

1.8.15 | I went into a mad-woman craze today trying to get the mad amounts of black dog hair off my white ottoman (hey, I wanted these pups to be yellow!) and Cam insisted on helping me.  She then went on to shop-vac out our entire fireplace and a few baseboards so really…today was a win.atlanta lifestyle photographer, atlanta newborn photographer, atlanta baby photographer
