Last week I had the pleasure of meeting yet another 8 week old baby and OH MY GOSH was she a beauty!!  She had the daintiest little features…but THAT HAIR.  (Notable…this sweet little peanut was the same size, at nearly two months old, as my son was on the day of his birth.  I will be forever jealous.)
I spent the morning photographing this new family of three in their sun-drenched midtown condo and, as always, I left feeling so full and happy for them.  What a gift this job is 🙂  I cannot wait to watch this sleepy, calm little nugget turn into a bubbly, curious baby girl over the next year!

I made a little visit to meet Parker when he was 7 weeks old and he was just an angel baby!  Because he was a little bit past that completely sleepy, you-can-do-anything-to-me-and-ill-sleep-through-it phase, we decided to mix a bit of traditional portraiture with some in-home lifestyle shots (check out that dreamy nursery!)  It was such a fun, relaxing morning in their midtown high-rise and I am SO excited to see how this little man grows and changes over the next year 🙂

Finding magic in the ordinary.

{1)  It never fails…when I lay on the ground (mostly out of exhaustion) to try to appease my littlest nugget, Cam runs over and begs to fly like Supergirl.  Today she took two flights then insisted on running to her playroom to get her {aka, our neighbor’s} super woman cape before hopping back on my feet.  If only I had a wider lens (orrrrrr longer legs, perhaps?) to capture the true view from my perspective 🙂

{2}  I opened the window to our front yard while I fed Liam dinner so I could hear Cami playing outside with her friends.  Shortly after, another one of our neighbors walked into the cul de sac with their dog and BOTH of my dogs went flying through the window.  Like – came running from the other side of the house and completely cleared it in a split second.  After I scolded them, I scolded myself and lowered the window…and then the next photo happened.  My boys 🙂

Outtake for the day:  First attempt at an in-flight photo…Liam stuck his fingers all over my lens.  True story – I had to get up and set him in another room and run back for “take off” and snap the picture before Speedy Gonzalez made his way back over and was climbing all over my chest and camera again 🙂
